FOC 08-24-2026 Pre-Orders: Hellraiser, Weapon X, Superman & More

This week's Final Order Cutoff (FOC) for August 24, 2026 is very much a “clear some shelf space” week. Omnibuses, compendiums, deluxe hardcovers, oversized art books — apparently everyone agreed this was the week to publish books capable of doubling as furniture.

At the top of the list is Hellraiser Omnibus Vol. 1, collecting more than 500 pages of Clive Barker’s return to the world of the Cenobites. If your horror shelf has been feeling suspiciously safe lately, that should take care of it. DC is also going big with Superman: Our Worlds at War Omnibus Vol. 2, alongside DC Finest: Superman: The Man of Steel and Adventures of Superman: Book of El. Three very different Superman eras, one very similar problem for your available shelf space.

The compendium lane is especially strong this week. Tom Strong Compendium brings all 36 issues of Alan Moore and Chris Sprouse’s retro-futuristic adventure series back into print, while Wonder Woman by Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang collects the full New 52 run into one substantial volume. If you prefer complete runs without playing trade-paperback Jenga, both are pretty easy recommendations.

One of the most interesting collector books this week is Marvel Black & White: Barry Windsor-Smith’s Weapon X. The oversized hardcover presents the landmark Wolverine story in black and white, putting Windsor-Smith’s linework front and center, along with archival material and original art. It’s exactly the sort of edition that answers the question, “Do I really need another copy of Weapon X?” with, “Apparently, yes.”

Art-book collectors have a few other reasons to pay attention. The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 3 wraps up the oversized series with more than 200 Kirby covers from 1969 through 1978, while Dirty Donny Must Be Destroyed dives into Donny Gillies’ punk, heavy-metal, pinball, and hot-rod artwork. And for kaiju fans, Godzilla: Poster Book includes 21 removable, frame-ready prints featuring Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah, and more. Walls count as storage. This is science.

There’s plenty outside the premium-hardcover lane, too. Usagi Yojimbo: Kaito ’84 takes the Usagi legacy into 1980s Osaka, Star Trek: Lower Decks Vol. 3 keeps the Cerritos crew doing what they do best, and IDW has multiple Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collections for younger readers and longtime fans. Plants vs. Zombies Zomnibus Vol. 6 also continues the proud publishing tradition of using “omnibus” whenever physically possible.

Short version: this is a week for complete runs, premium art presentations, and books you already know you’ll want in the nicest format possible.

Pre-order before FOC on August 24, 2026 if any of these belong in your collection. “I’ll grab it later” remains a perfectly valid strategy right up until it becomes an expensive hobby within the hobby.
