FOC 2026-08-17 : Omnibuses, Archives & Collector Editions

This week's Final Order Cutoff (FOC) for August 17, 2026 has a little bit of everything — assuming your definition of “a little bit” includes giant omnibuses, classic DC events, '70s Marvel vampires, mutant turtles, Xenomorphs, Power Rangers, and a Predator apparently working his way through the entire Marvel Universe.

The big collector play this week may be Go Go Power Rangers Omnibus, which brings the complete 32-issue saga together in one supersized volume for the first time. DC is digging deep into the library with Crisis on Infinite Earths: DC Compact Comics Edition, DC Finest: Events: Legends Part One, Justice League of America: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 4, and a new edition of Batman: Jekyll & Hyde. Meanwhile, IDW is shrinking some classics down with pocket-sized editions of Locke & Key and the original Mirage-era Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Your bookshelf remains unconcerned with your available space.

Dark Horse also has one of the week's most interesting collector releases with Marvel's '70s Horror Archives: Vampire Tales Volume 1, an oversized hardcover featuring early solo stories starring Morbius, Blade, Lilith, and Satana. Mike Mignola returns with Uri Tupka and the Devils, Jim Starlin's cosmic epic continues in Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 3, and Minor Threats returns with its third volume.

Then there's The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom—Secrets of the Zonai. The standard hardcover packs hundreds of pages of development art, sketches, Hyrule history, Zonai lore, and developer interviews. Or, because collectors are collectors, there's the Hero's Edition, which adds an exclusive cover, cloth map of the Depths, art print, replica Secret Stone of Time, and a Zonai-green slipcase. Completely unnecessary. Obviously we want it.

Marvel rounds things out with Aliens Epic Collection: The Original Years Vol. 4, Captain America: The Death of Captain America, new collections for Iron Man, Knull, and Rogue, plus the gloriously subtle Predator Kills the Marvel Universe Omnibus. It collects Predator's encounters with Wolverine, Black Panther, Spider-Man, and eventually... well, apparently everybody.

The important part: FOC is August 17, 2026. If any of these belong on your shelf, getting your pre-order in before the cutoff helps make sure your copy is accounted for before retailers finalize their orders. That's especially worth keeping in mind for omnibuses, archival hardcovers, and deluxe collector editions where “I'll grab it later” has a long and distinguished history of becoming “why is this $175 on eBay?”
