FOC 08-10-2026: Gotham Adventures, Nemesis & Clone Wars Omnibuses
Share
This week’s Final Order Cutoff (FOC) for August 10, 2026 is doing a little bit of everything — omnibuses, archival hardcovers, library editions, manga, franchise trades, and one very committed TMNT poster book. It’s the kind of list where nostalgia and shelf space are working together against your budget.
The big DC release is Batman: Gotham Adventures Omnibus Vol. 1, collecting all 42 issues of the animated-era series along with several related stories. If Batman: The Animated Series helped shape your entire understanding of Gotham—and honestly, it probably did—this is an easy book to circle. DC Finest: Teen Titans — Terra in the Night! adds another strong archival collection with Marv Wolfman and George Pérez’s landmark Titans material.
Dark Horse has two of the more interesting collector-focused books this week. The Complete Nemesis Collection Library Edition gathers the full series into one oversized hardcover, while Marvel’s Most Villainous Vol. 1: Magneto launches a curated archival line spanning decades of stories. Magneto has spent enough time moving between villain, revolutionary, hero, and deeply complicated dinner guest that one book may have its work cut out for it.
Marvel’s omnibus shelf keeps expanding with Marvel Team-Up Omnibus Vol. 2 and Star Wars Legends: The Clone Wars Omnibus Vol. 1. The latter collects a substantial run of Republic-era comics featuring Obi-Wan, Anakin, Quinlan Vos, Asajj Ventress, and enough Jedi wartime trauma to keep the prequel era fully operational.
There’s also a strong character-focused trade lineup. Moon Knight Epic Collection: The Resurrection War brings together his late-’90s return, Psylocke: Ninja — Rise from the Fall revisits a complicated chapter in Betsy Braddock’s history, and Mortal Thor Vol. 2: Come at the King continues the mortal Sigurd Jarlson storyline. Not every collection needs to require two hands and a clear lifting path.
Outside the Big Two, The Expanse: A Little Death continues the franchise after Dragon Tooth, with series actor Wes Chatham making his comics-writing debut. Uncanny Valley Complete Collection gathers Tony Fleecs and Dave Wachter’s entire dimension-hopping series, while Avatar: The Last Airbender — The Kyoshi Warriors Vol. 1 gives Suki and her team their own adventure beyond Kyoshi Island.
The nostalgia lane is unusually specific this week. Return to Sleepy Hollow continues the story of Tim Burton’s 1999 film, Street Sharks: Jawsome Justice marks the franchise’s first comic in more than 20 years, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Return to New York Poster Book includes 21 removable prints from artists like Kevin Eastman, Peach Momoko, Cliff Chiang, Joëlle Jones, and Lee Bermejo. Apparently the walls are part of the collection now.
Manga readers also get Babanba Banban Vampire Vol. 1, a supernatural romantic comedy about a 450-year-old vampire working in a public bathhouse. Which is a sentence that knows its audience and wastes absolutely no time finding it.
Short version: this is an omnibus-and-nostalgia week, with a strong secondary lane for horror, manga, and franchise collections. Batman: Gotham Adventures, The Complete Nemesis Collection, and the two major Marvel omnibuses are the formats I’d be least inclined to leave to chance.
