This week’s FOC (Final Order Cutoff: 4/06/26) is a dense one — a lot of trades, a lot of hardcovers, and enough omnibuses to make you start mentally reorganizing your shelves.
There’s a healthy mix here, but the throughline is pretty clear: this is a collection-building week.
On the premium side, you’ve got the kind of releases that tend to stick around on shelves (and not always in stock). A new printing of Chip Zdarsky’s Spider-Man Omnibus is the big headline — exactly the sort of modern run that people circle back to once it’s harder to find. DC continues its curated line with Finest collections and classic-era material like Silver Age Justice League, while Dark Horse keeps doing what they do best with omnibus editions that bundle multiple arcs into one clean package.
There’s also a strong showing for more accessible formats. Trade paperbacks for newer readers, kid-friendly entries like Spidey & Friends, and a few creator-owned titles that feel like they’re one adaptation announcement away from suddenly being harder to track down. (We’ve all seen how that goes.)
And then there’s the timing piece — which matters more than it sounds. Most of these books land between June and September, right in that summer reading / back-to-school window where demand quietly spikes.
