FOC 02-23-2026: Collector-Ready Hardcovers, Omnibuses & Must-Preorder Highlights

This week’s FOC hits on 2/23/26, and it’s one of those weeks where the format spread alone makes it worth paying attention.

Hardcovers. Library editions. Omnibuses. Straightforward trades. It’s collector-friendly without being inaccessible.

A few standouts:

Jeff Lemire’s Minor Arcana Vol. 3 continues doing what Lemire does best — emotionally complicated people making emotionally complicated choices. The VR Troopers trade leans into nostalgia in a way that feels self-aware instead of dusty. And Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – Phase III kicks off the next chapter for anyone who’s been following that era and doesn’t want to fall behind.

On the deluxe side, you’ve got Stranger Things and Dungeons & Dragons Library Editions, plus Richard Corben’s long-awaited The Last Voyage of Sindbad. (Corben fans have been patient. Very patient.) Dark Horse Manga brings Innocent Rouge Vol. 2 in omnibus format — dense, historical, and not exactly light reading in the best way.

And then there’s the shelf-dominating reprint energy: TMNT IDW Collection Vol. 9, Incredible Hulk Epic Collection: Devolution, and multiple X-Men: Age of Revelation volumes. Big spines. Recognizable names. The kind of books that look intentional when they’re lined up together.

From a buyer perspective, this week is really about format strategy.

Hardcovers and library editions tend to age well. Omnibuses are commitment pieces — physically and financially — but they’re also the ones that disappear and become “why didn’t I grab that?” conversations six months later. Trades are the steady, dependable middle ground.
