FOC 02-16-2026: Preorder Highlights — Omnibuses, Treasuries & Pocket Classics
This week’s FOC (Final Order Cutoff) for 2/16/26 is… a lot. In a good way.
It’s a deep slate of trade and omnibus releases that actually manages to hit both ends of the spectrum: serious collector bait and stuff you could hand to a normal human being without an explanation. Big DC omnibuses, creator-focused compendia, Marvel widescreen epics, and a few licensed oddities for good measure. Basically, something for everyone—assuming “everyone” likes comics.
You’ve got the full range of formats here. Pocket-sized classics like the Locke & Key IDW Classic Collections that are easy to read and easy to live with. Prestige omnibuses like Elseworlds: Justice League and Daredevil by Nocenti & Romita Jr. that exist purely to dominate a shelf. And a handful of event-adjacent collections that bundle up genuinely important stories and crossovers without asking you to hunt down half a dozen out-of-print singles.
Release dates stretch from spring into summer, which means this is the part where future-you gets mad if present-you doesn’t pre-order. Limited printings, specific covers, second-printing roulette—you know the drill.
From a collector standpoint, this FOC is really about format and provenance. Compact editions if you care about space. Hardcovers and treasury-style books if you care about presentation. Omnibuses if you care about both and are willing to commit. Creator-driven runs, classic-era restorations, and anything even vaguely media-adjacent tend to do what they always do: sell better than expected.
Short version: if a particular hardcover, format, or variant matters, don’t wait. Get those pre-orders in by the 2/16 cutoff and save yourself the inevitable “how did this sell out already?” conversation later.
Not ideal. But avoidable.
