FOC 9-21-2026: Daredevil, TMNT, Godzilla & More

This week's Final Order Cutoff (FOC) for September 21, 2026 is one of those weeks where the phrase “I’m mostly caught up” becomes increasingly difficult to defend. We’ve got major Daredevil collections, more than 1,000 pages of TMNT, deluxe horror, classic DC, Godzilla wandering through human history, and a Rocketeer book designed specifically to make you start measuring available wall space.

The biggest Marvel book this week is Daredevil by Charles Soule Omnibus, returning in a new printing with a Phil Noto cover. It collects Soule’s entire run, including Daredevil #1-28 and #595-612, the annual, Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle, and more. That means Blindspot, Muse, Elektra, Kingpin becoming mayor, and Matt Murdock taking an argument all the way to the Supreme Court. Because apparently being a vigilante, lawyer, and perpetual magnet for personal catastrophe still left room on Matt’s calendar.

Daredevil gets another major collection with Daredevil Epic Collection: Resurrection, covering the conclusion of Frank Miller’s original run. Issues #177-193 include Elektra, Bullseye, Kingpin, Stick, and some of the stories that permanently changed what a Daredevil comic could be. If you’ve somehow avoided this era until now, this is a particularly easy way to fix that.

The other enormous book competing for both your money and the structural integrity of your shelving is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Ongoing Compendium Vol. 3. This final 1,000-plus-page volume collects issues #101-150 of IDW’s original ongoing series, completing the entire 150-issue run across three compendiums. Sophie Campbell takes the lead as Mutant Town becomes the center of the series and the long-running IDW era heads toward its finale. Three books. One hundred fifty issues. Considerably easier than explaining 150 individual comics to whoever shares your living space.

TMNT also gets the week's most wonderfully inevitable crossover release with Naruto x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — Manga Style Edition. The four-issue crossover is reformatted in black and white and presented in a compact manga-style edition. Naruto. Sasuke. Sakura. Kakashi. Leonardo. Raphael. Michelangelo. Donatello. The Foot Clan. Baxter Stockman. This is the sort of crossover that sounds like somebody was messing around with action figures until you remember that, yes, of course people want this.

IDW has another strong collector week beyond the Turtles. 30 Days of Night Deluxe Edition: Book Four collects 30 Days ’Til Death, Night Again, and the 2018 30 Days of Night series into one oversized horror hardcover. The October Faction: IDW Classic Collections goes in the opposite direction, putting Steve Niles and Damien Worm’s entire supernatural family saga into a compact 6" x 9" edition. Apparently spooky season now comes in multiple trim sizes.

Then there’s Godzilla: Here There Be Complete Collection, which collects the full Here There Be Dragons trilogy and sends Godzilla stomping through several centuries of humanity making questionable decisions. Pirates, secret societies, UFOs, Xiliens, government conspiracies, and the King of the Monsters all end up sharing one book. History class would have been considerably more interesting this way.

For art collectors, The Rocketeer: Poster Book is probably the sleeper pick of the week. It features 21 removable 10.5" x 16" pieces of Dave Stevens artwork printed on heavyweight, frame-ready cardstock. You can keep the portfolio intact or remove and frame your favorites. The difficult part will be pretending you bought it with any intention whatsoever of leaving all 21 pages in the book.

DC has plenty happening too. Adventures of Superman: Book of El collects all 12 issues of Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Scott Godlewski’s future-spanning conclusion to the Superman saga Johnson began in Future State and Action Comics. Superman finds himself in a distant future with the House of El fractured, Earth under tyrannical rule, and Brainiac once again demonstrating that perhaps collecting entire civilizations in bottles is not a healthy hobby.

There’s also Superman/Shazam!: First Thunder, bringing Judd Winick and Josh Middleton’s first meeting between Superman and Billy Batson back into print. It’s a relatively compact four-issue story, but the real hook is the relationship between Clark and Billy — particularly Superman realizing that the immensely powerful magical superhero standing beside him is, in fact, a kid. Suddenly the whole “Earth’s Mightiest Mortal” thing gets a little more complicated.

Batman collectors get DC Finest: Batman — The Curse of Crime Alley, a substantial collection of late-'70s and early-'80s material from Denny O’Neil, Len Wein, Don Newton, Irv Novick, and others. It includes the debut of Lucius Fox, Batman’s recurring pilgrimage back to Crime Alley, and Frank Miller’s early Batman story “Wanted: Santa Claus — Dead or Alive!” It is a wonderfully specific period of Batman history collected without requiring a hardcover roughly the size of a cinder block.

The DC Finest line also heads west with DC Finest: Western — Requiem for a Gunfighter, collecting Weird Western Tales #18-43 and Jonah Hex #1-7. For readers who want classic DC but occasionally need Gotham City to stop being involved in everything, there are several hundred pages of Jonah Hex waiting for you.

Marvel’s backlist gets another good one with Ghost Rider: Danny Ketch Epic Collection — Bad to the Bone. This is peak early-'90s Marvel: Ghost Rider, Wolverine, Punisher, Spider-Man, Hobgoblin, Mephisto, Blackout, Deathwatch, and enough leather jackets and supernatural angst to power an entire decade. The collection includes Ghost Rider #13-24 plus Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness and additional material.

Star Wars has two notable entries. Star Wars: Shadow of Maul is a five-issue prequel to Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord, taking readers to the lawless planet Janix as Maul’s influence begins creeping into the story. Meanwhile, Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures — Pathfinders sends a new Republic Pathfinder team into the Outer Rim to investigate a Jedi Master’s mysterious death. So, you know, another quiet week in the galaxy.

And if your tastes run a little more off-center, Madman Omnibus Volume 4 delivers more than 500 pages of Michael Allred’s superhero sci-fi weirdness, collecting Madman Atomic Comics #1-17 along with the rare It Girl, Spaceman, and Mr. Gum one-shots. Harley Quinn Vol. 3: The Harq Knight Returns! also gives Harley her own grim-and-gritty Batquinn era, which is exactly as sensible as that sentence makes it sound.

Short version: Daredevil collectors have two very different reasons to spend money this week, TMNT readers can finally finish the 150-issue IDW run in compendium form, horror fans get premium 30 Days of Night, and Dave Stevens fans are being handed 21 frame-ready reasons to reconsider their wall decor. Not ideal for the budget. Pretty good for the bookshelf.

Pre-order before FOC on September 21, 2026 to make sure your copies are accounted for. As always, “I’ll just wait until release day” is a strategy. It is not necessarily a good one.
