FOC 06-01-2026: Dark Knight Returns, Long Halloween & More

This week’s FOC (Final Order Cutoff) for 06/01/2026 is loaded with anniversary editions, fan-favorite Batman collections, major DC reprints, and a handful of standout books from Dark Horse, IDW, and BOOM! If your shelves have been looking a little too organized lately, this week can fix that.

The biggest collector conversation starts with Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Deluxe Edition. Frank Miller’s landmark story is getting the 40th anniversary treatment, making it one of the easiest recommendations on this list for both longtime collectors and newer readers looking to own a definitive edition.

Batman fans are particularly spoiled this week. Batman: The Long Halloween – The Last Halloween continues Jeph Loeb’s return to one of Gotham’s most beloved stories, while Batman & Son arrives in DC’s Compact Comics format for readers who somehow missed Grant Morrison and Damian Wayne the first time around. There’s also a new volume of Batgirl, a substantial collection of Tom King’s Batman, and a new edition of Christopher Priest’s acclaimed Deathstroke run.

Outside Gotham, DC continues expanding its archival and collector-friendly lines with Wonder Woman: Rebirth by Greg Rucka Omnibus, House of Secrets: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 1, and DC Finest: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Two. If your collection leans toward oversized hardcovers and comprehensive editions, this is a very expensive week. Respectfully.

The Absolute Universe continues to gain momentum with Absolute Martian Manhunter Vol. 2: The Agency, available in both hardcover and trade paperback editions. Deniz Camp and Javier Rodríguez’s reinvention of J’onn J’onzz has become one of the most talked-about books in the line, and this volume wraps up the series.

Outside the superhero world, several titles stand out. Fence Book One collects the first twelve issues of the hit YA fencing series, Goldie Vance Book One brings back one of the best all-ages mystery comics of the last decade, and The Art of Octopath Traveler: 2020–2023 looks like an easy pickup for RPG fans and art book collectors alike.

IDW also delivers a strong nostalgia lineup with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The IDW Collection Volume 10, Star Trek: Aliens, and a Knuckles Anniversary Special for Sonic fans.

Short version: this is a Batman-heavy week, but the real collector plays may be the anniversary editions, omnibus releases, and premium hardcover formats that tend to disappear fastest once they hit shelves.
