FOC 03-09-2026: Key Preorders — Omnibuses, Art Books & RPG Expansions

This week’s FOC (Final Order Cutoff: 3/09/26) is one of those “something for everyone” lists that actually earns the phrase.

Hardcovers. Trades. Omnibuses. Art books. RPG expansions. A few niche imports. A couple big-name superhero centerpieces. It’s a wide net — and a pretty strategic one.

On the premium side, you’ve got books like Batman/Superman: World’s Finest Deluxe Edition Vol. 1 and Superman: Brainiac Reborn Omnibus — the kind of releases that feel designed to live on a shelf long-term, not just pass through your reading pile. Deluxe formats tend to hold their value better, especially when they collect complete arcs or creator-driven runs in one place.

Treasury and library editions are also doing their thing this week. Avatar: The Last Airbender — Fire and Family Treasury Library Edition and The Art of The Mighty Thor both fall into that oversized, display-forward category. They read well, they gift well, and they age well. Not a bad combination.

Then there’s the specialty lane — which is where things get interesting. Moebius Library: The Depressed Hunter is exactly the sort of book that quietly disappears and then becomes impossible to find. Purgatory Funeral Cakes Vol. 2 (Dark Horse’s manhwa line) hits that niche-import energy that doesn’t always get massive print runs but absolutely builds devoted followings.

And don’t sleep on the crossover potential titles. Marvel Multiverse RPG: Secret Wars Expansion will spike any time tabletop groups decide it’s “campaign season.” Star Wars: Dark Droids Omnibus sits squarely in that media-adjacent zone where interest can surge with very little warning.

This week isn’t about one headline release. It’s about format strategy and timing.

If you care about deluxe editions, niche imports, RPG expansions, or event omnibuses, FOC is where you make the call. Release windows stretch out from there — but allocation decisions don’t.

Short version: if you’re even mildly on the fence about a premium or specialty format, this is the week to lean in.

Regret is heavier than an omnibus.
